oh! time sweeps me off my feet! in a whirlwind shing-a-ling i say wots up jing-a-ling!
so yes. i haven't said much here in awhile.. how have you been? anyone become more of a grown-up since we last heard from ya? i know i have. yea. a total adult now.
rewatched the entire final season of FRIENDS in a week.. it was such an awesome sitcom. for some reason it always reminds me of CHIJ days...
it's father's day! so! happy father's day! to all the fathers out there! whom i'm sure areN'T visiting this blog... so... my well wishes shall be with you all in spirit.
i'm so stuffed from father's day luncheon/high tea with family... these days... no matter which/whose occasion it is, kaelen steals all the thunder naturally. hehe. he's growing so fast omg i love him.
omg omg omg i'm catchin on omg about a decade too late but omg omg, omg is *so* omg.
the reason why i never used the phrase "oh my god" much when i was younger is this: i had a really scary staunch christian teacher in primary school... who never failed to instill fear of god at every opportune possible. and she said OH MY GOD was blasphemous and cos THOU SHALT NOT USE MY NAME IN VAIN thus all those of us who say things like OH MY GOD and GEE (cos she insists it is short for JESUS) are going to hell. so, being the impressionable kid i was then, i never felt comfortable saying OMG. i'd be one of those girls who said things like OH MY GOODNESS, or, GOSH.
talk about random huh.

OMG! i was the same too! growing up in church they taught us that OMG! and swearing JESUS! was blasphemous... so i also didn't use it until many years later... i still don't use JESUS! cos i don't feel comfortable with it... but i nv heard abt Gee?!? it's kind of a longshot don't u think? anyways, some people need to take themselves less seriously. it can be so grating sometimes eh?
haha well said jan, WELL SAID. i'm still a tad scarred from my childhood. it's traumatic when you give CHILDREN the impression that they are going to hell. it's like, hello life, goodbye life.
