HANG IN THERE MIDWEEK IS APPROACHING.

alright the following quote could possibly be entirely useless, but it totally cracked me up on this tuesday night. here goes:
"Four key movie gambling blags:
[...]

Honeymoon In Vegas

In a brilliant twist on an old classic, James Caan fixes a card game against Nicolas Cage so he can win something totally worthless - Sarah Jessica Parker. Much hilarity ensues (in the minds of the scriptwriters) as Cage tries to win back the thinking man's Mister Ed."

----------------------------

yay new episode of Brothers and Sisters is out finally!

in other mundane news:
  • i bought some really old-skool baby biscuit things, round little sweetish melt-in-the-mouth biscuits, for baby Kaelen.. and he decided to bounce them, smile at them, and offer it to everyone around.. but didn't seem to personally take to those heavenly things very well. unbelievable!
  • i have observed that my dad plays an awful-lot-of Free Cell. if he's a book character, he'd definitely be in a Coupland novel.
  • what do you think of bullet-point lists?
  • i miss my late grandma's cooking. i also miss the scraps of remnant cloth i could always find in her sewing room as a little girl - i'd use these bits to sew dresses and hairbands for my dolls!
  • i made a new playlist of tunes which i titled heart & soul, consisting of what in my opinion are tracks which have the ability to move and invoke various emotions. don't you agree that it is really rare to spot profound cinematic lyrics delivered in a simple poetic way? to be concise takes skill and thorough comprehension!

Radio, Live Transmission.

this is my little stroll down history, a tribute in memory of ian curtis, in memory of memories, in memory of poetry in lyrics and cinema in tunes.

a personal favourite of mine has to be Atmosphere off singles collection "Substance". i think it's beautiful in all its sadness, fatalism and understanding...

Joy Division - Atmosphere
"...Walk in silence,
Dont turn away, in silence.
Your confusion,
My illusion,
Worn like a mask of self-hate,
Confronts and then dies.
Dont walk away..."

Joy Division - Transmission
"...Listen to the silence, let it ring on.
Eyes, dark grey lenses frightened of the sun.
We would have a fine time living in the night,
Left to blind destruction,
Waiting for our sight.

And we would go on as though nothing was wrong.
And hide from these days we remained all alone.
Staying in the same place, just staying out the time.
Touching from a distance,
Further all the time..."
