By "dream friends" I don't mean ideal friends, but rather, people who are .. friends in my dreams.
I've always had extremely vivid dreams since I can remember. Every now and then, I'd have a dream about perhaps an acquaintance, a classmate, a colleague, or the girl who fixes my flat white at the coffee stop. At times, in these dreams, these characters feel like such good friends and kindred spirits that I wake up feeling as if I have a bond with them! I should be clearly aware that these are just dreams, figments of my sub-conscious occasionally linking aspects of my memory in a random (sometimes haphazard) manner, or so one would think.
You might be surprised to hear that I have at least once in the past woken up and thought (believed) that this girl in my class (she's not a close friend, just someone I used to see in class quite often, we hardly even spoke) was someone close! If I recall correctly, I actually started speaking to her more, and felt comfortable doing so... simply because in my dream, she was a close and connected friend!
When I try to rationalise these events, I get concerned that I'm too connected to my dreams!

I've always believed that dreams are what your sub-concious wants.
Mind you i wish i could remember my dreams as i keep waking up every night about 3 times in 8 hours.

Possibly the most amazing blog that I read all year vintage wedding!?!
I find it fascinating, that you got closer to that girl after your dream - maybe your dream is pretty wise, and you are (maybe in a deeper sense) more connected to some (or all?) people than you experienced until then. So why are you concerned about getting too connected to your dreams? Well, I only read this little note, but in this case, you don't seem to have got lost in the dream but opened up into the shared life of our "reality"...
Best wishes and love
